Check that these lengths will fit the length of your project and work with it as usual. If you have longer pieces with undesirable features measure and cut below the feature.

Weathered

This seasoned stock has been moved around our warehouse and has seen some exposure to the elements.

How to work with this feature:

The cosmetic imperfections to these pieces can be covered with paint or stain. There will be varying degree of weathering throughout the pack.

Gum Veining

Gum veining is a key characteristic of Tasmanian Oak, these pieces are peppered with distinctive character and unique patterns throughout each piece.

How to work with this feature:

Veining can be hard to cover as it’s embedded throughout the timber. These pieces are best used on a project that celebrates this unique feature rather than trying to work around it.

Resin Pockets

Similar to knots, resin pockets in Radiata Pine create distinctive characteristics only exposed after profiling the timber and did not meet our clear grade standards.

How to work with this feature:

Resin pockets can be embraced into the design for a rustic look or if being painted can be filled and painted over. Alternatively they can be cut around on projects that are shorter than the stock lengths.
